23.5.2010 - Golf and more









Sunday is a day for golf and networking.

A small golf tournament will be organised in collaboration with Marko Korač, the president of the International Manager's Cup and Open Tour: 
http://www.imcgolf.eu/ and some VIP guests are expected to join us .

We decided to limit this tournament to only 20 people who will have an excellent possibility to get to know each other and to enjoy playing together. The cups are waiting for the winners - so the day will be even more exciting.

The start is at 12.00. Please be there a few minutes earlier.

Since the number of players is limited we kindly ask you to confirm your registration with payment as soon as possible, if you would like to attend our tournament.

22. 5. 2010 - Perfection of Simplicity (Domačija Novak)


After the great dinner on Friday night at JB restaurant (JB restaurant is on this year's list of The World's 50 Best Restaurants better then Heinz Beck's La Pergola and Alain Ducasse's Le Louis XV!)

Our unforgettable experience will start at 11h when we will move from Ljubljana to Kostanjevica na Krki.





1st STOP: COLARIČ FARMHOUSE - BRUNCH WITH HOME MADE PRODUCTS
We will arrive there at about 12h and our first stop will be a typical farmhouse. At the Colarič farmhouse we will be able to see the typical farmlife in that part of Slovenia and we will be welcomed with home made bread, home produced cold cuts, vegetables and wine.
 



2nd STOP: KOSTANJEVICA NA KRKI
After visiting the Colarič farm we will visit the smallest and oldest city of the region - Kostanjevica na Krki, which lays on a small island on the river Krka. We will have a walk around the city to get to know this wonderful place.




3rd STOP: BOATING ON THE KRKA RIVER OR VISIT OF THE KOSTANJEVICA CAVE
After the visit of the city we will take the boats and make a small guided trip on the river to see the wonderful nature and city from another perspective. If weather will not be good, we can visit instead Kostanjevica cave.
 



4th STOP: DOMAČIJA NOVAK
At about 17h or 18h we will move to Dvor, small village not far away from Kostanjevica where we will spend our evening at DOMAČIJA NOVAK.





Novak family is a special and wonderful family. They love antiques (they have an antiques shop in Ljubljana) and they love nature and good natural food and wines. This was the base for creation of the Domačija Novak, a wonderful house with a wonderful countryside interior where they spoil their guests with their great kindness and home cooked dishes made from best 100% biological ingridients - most of them produced by them. Since they love good natural wines they are big friends with many wineproducers too and they have a wonderful and rich winecellar.

People at their home are welcomed like friends and when we will arrive there we will have a dinner together with their other guests who normally come from different parts of the world, so we will be able to develop also new contacts.

We will be welcomed in their winecellar with the sparkling wine Casa Coste Piane and with mushroom pockets

Smoked trout on the fried potatoes with wild salad, horseradish cream and stir sauce

(this Chardonnay will be offered by Stanko Radikon for the first time ever so we will be the first to taste it)


I would like to put into words the experience that we will have at the Novak family's house, but it's impossible. It's something you must experience on your own. I can only say that those moments will be the moments you will remember all your life on and you will look forward to come back.

SLEEPING FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY:
For anyone who will join us at the Novak family dinner and is planning to play golf on Sunday at Otočec (which is not far away from here) we suggest to sleep at the Novak house from Saturday to Sunday. 21. 5. 2010 - Haute Cuisine at JB (and afterparty) in Ljubljana




There are many good chefs, but only a few are really great. Janez Bratovž is one of them.
 
The perfection of his food is in the sweet harmony of the tastes, the highest quality of ingridients and the excellent techniques of preparation. He is a perfectionist, a sensible creator who invents new dishes being inspired as same by the past and traditions as the new trends in the haute cuisine.

Saturday (22.5.) will be the whole day trip to Dolenjska region, a region at the Krka river, full of castles, art, and warmhearted people and their countryhouses. If Friday will be dedicated to elegance, Saturday will be dedicated to simplicity and purity. We will taste homemade products of the region - home made bread and salumis, we will visit a farmhouse, the smallest and oldest city of the region which is situated on a small island on the river Krka (Kostanjevica na Krki), we will visit caves and spend the evening with the Novak family who's life is full of love for antiques, good natural cuisine and best wines. The evening we will spend in their countryhouse where we will enjoy an unforgettable dinner in an unforgettable company. GOLF AND MORE - Golf Otočec



Golf Otočec is the largest and most beautiful golf place in Slovenia situated near to the Otočec castle and the Krka river. Golf players from abroad and from Slovenia are welcome to participate at a little tournament (18 holes) in a limited group of 20 players.
